The Sonny Tougas National Bursary Program is designed to assist a young person in their goal to further their education beyond secondary school. The intent is to support post-secondary education at the university, college, or technical school level.

This Bursary was founded to honour the memory of Maurice 'Sonny' Tougas, a Canadian Kennel Club All Breed Judge who passed away in 2008. Sonny had a tremendous impact on the sport of purebred dogs and mentored people who came to him for help in various aspects of our sport.

The deadline for applications is: August 12, 2018.

The winner will be announced at the CPHA dinner in September at the Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club show in Calgary, Alberta.
